“Probiotics” is quite the buzzword these days in both the health and wellness communities. There are thousands of different supplements and food items out there that contain them. These products claim amazing nutritional value, but many customers are confused about what the benefits are and which probiotics are the best. Greg Giant (BS Pharm RPh) will be joining us at the Willennar Genealogy Center on Thursday, October 17, from 6-7 p.m. to explain his view on why probiotics are essential to whole body nutrition. He will highlight some of the best options, as well as ways to get probiotics into your diet! We hope to see you there for this free, insightful program!

Main Library Restoration Update

While construction continues at the main library, we want to invite everyone for an in-depth look at how restoration has taken place for our Grafton painting, The Battle of Fair Oaks, at “Between the Layers: A Journey of Art Restoration” on Tuesday, October 22, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Community Foundation of DeKalb County. Art conservator Debra Selden will lead a conversation about the restoration of the painting, and about the tools and techniques used in the process of reviving this 100 year old painting.
