Update on Fire and Eckhart Public Library

1935564_100359158628_5654263_nWe are sorry to announce that the Main Library will be closed indefinitely due to a fire that took place on the 1996 expansion side of the building.  The historic fountain is not damaged, but is not currently running due to the need to shut off the water and electricity to the building. At this time, we plan to still have our Teen Library and the Willennar Genealogy Center open. We will be posting the latest updates on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as sending emails when we can. We thank the community for all their support during this time, and we hope to let you know when we will reopen soon.

      Hi Amanda,
We are accepting donations! If you’re interested in dropping some items off to us, you can bring these to the Administrative Annex at 212 W. 12th St. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. These items will be evaluated by staff, and either be added to the library’s collection or forwarded to the Friends of Eckhart Public Library for their book sale. Thank you for thinking of us!
