madupsized.pngEckhart Public Library has plans for two fun, food-and-fun centered programs during the week of June 19.

People can test their knowledge of books and authors while enjoying some delicious local food and beer on Monday, June 19, from 6-8:30 p.m. Adults 21 and over can register in teams of 2-6 players for a chance to win prizes including gift cards and books. The library also plans to help people Build a Better Dinner on Thursday, June 22, from 5-7:30 p.m. across the library campus.

People are invited to venture across the Eckhart Public Library campus for a progressive dinner, featuring throwback appetizers from local, historical cookbooks at the Willennar Genealogy Center, 700 S. Jackson St.; a salad bar with a variety of options for proteins, vegetables, fruits, and dressings in the Close Community Room at the Main Library, 603 S. Jackson St.; dessert featuring an item grown in the Not-So-Secret Garden at the Teen Library, 705 S. Jackson St.,; and lemonade infused with herbs in the Library Park. Registration is not required.

The theme of Eckhart Summer Read is Build a Better World. All programs are free, and a library card is not required to attend.
