Eckhart Public Library has a huge variety of programs for all ages planned for the week of March 27-April 1! We will transform your Spring Break with lots of fun and exciting events. We will also be debuting our Library of Things – a library full of items, from telescopes to frosting tips, that you can check out and use at home!

Here is what is happening during Spring Break:

  • Pizza & Paperbacks: Stop by and enjoy some pizza during our new teen book club! The book for March is “Crossover” by Kwame Alexander. “With a bolt of lightning on my kicks . . .The court is SIZZLING. My sweat is DRIZZLING. Stop all that quivering. Cuz tonight I’m delivering,” announces dread-locked, 12-year old Josh Bell. He and his twin brother Jordan are awesome on the court. But Josh has more than basketball in his blood, he’s got mad beats, too, that tell his family’s story in verse, in this fast and furious middle grade novel of family and brotherhood. Josh and Jordan must come to grips with growing up on and off the court to realize breaking the rules comes at a terrible price, as their story’s heart-stopping climax proves a game-changer for the entire family. All teen programs are for students in sixth through twelfth grades. Monday, March 27, 5-6 p.m., Teen Library.

About Jenny

I am the Associate Director of Eckhart Public Library. My office is in the Administrative Annex, but I can often be found roaming the Eckhart Public Library Campus, performing acts of librarianship in every department! I love to read and learn about history. I'm also a huge fan of movies, TV and pop culture in general, and I love to read books of all types. Currently, I'm working my way around the romance section, with some historical fiction and graphic novels thrown in for variety! But you never know what I'm going to pick up next.
