This Week at Eckhart Public Library – September 5-10

September 5-10

Eckhart Public Library is closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 5, but when we reopen on Tuesday, September 6, we are excited that we will be starting up our Storytime Enrichment Classes!

Storytime Enrichment Classes, which are free of charge and do not require a library card to attend, are a fantastic opportunity for children to access a world of creativity and discovery through stories, games, crafts, and activities that encourage early literacy skills.

Eckhart Public Library is offering drop-in Storytime Enrichment Classes, which require no registration, on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:15 p.m. and Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There are also still some spots in our Storytime Enrichment Classes that require registration. Wee Reads storytimes are designed for children from birth to two years old and their families, and are on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Preschool storytimes, for children 2-6 years old, are on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, Thursday evening, and Friday morning. Register by visiting the Children’s Department, on the lower level of the Main Library, 603 S. Jackson St.; by calling 925-2414 ext. 320; or by emailing childrens@epl.lib.in.us.

About Jenny

I am the Associate Director of Eckhart Public Library. My office is in the Administrative Annex, but I can often be found roaming the Eckhart Public Library Campus, performing acts of librarianship in every department! I love to read and learn about history. I'm also a huge fan of movies, TV and pop culture in general, and I love to read books of all types. Currently, I'm working my way around the romance section, with some historical fiction and graphic novels thrown in for variety! But you never know what I'm going to pick up next.
