Throwback Thursday: Mystery Photos

Willennar Genealogy Center’s collection is full of Throwback Thursday potential, so let’s get our #TBT on!

Here at the Willennar Genealogy Center, we have over 12,000 items in our photo collection, including Real Photo postcards, glass negatives, and other kinds of photographic images. Unfortunately, while many of these pictures came with some kind of identifying information, we still have a number of “mystery photos” scattered throughout the collection, pictures of places and people—especially people—that we can’t identify.

Below are some of these photographs; click on one of them, and it will open up a slide show where you can view each photo individually and leave a comment if you have any thoughts you want to share—or even better, some names.

Do any of these faces look familiar to you?

(EDIT: To get a closer look at a photo while looking through the slide show, scroll down below the picture you’re viewing and click on “View Full Size.”)

Want to see more local history? Feel free to search our online photo database, or head on over to the Genealogy Center’s official Facebook page.

About Chelsea

I've been working at Willennar Genealogy Center for over two years now, and I've loved every minute of getting to learn more about the stories of DeKalb County and the surrounding area. I'm interested in all kinds of history, but I'm especially fond of the early film industry, old letters and journals, the DeKalb County Fair, and the Interurban line.
