This Week at Eckhart Public Library: August 10-15

The kids may be back at school, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had at Eckhart Public Library!

Our Family History Boot Camp Part 3 starts this week! Join the staff of the Willennar Genealogy Center to learn how to research your genealogy and family history in this four-week class on August 12, 19, and 26 and September 2 from 6-8 p.m. The four sessions will include instruction on research and technology. This class covers different topics than our previous classes, but you do not need to have taken our previous classes to participate! Register by calling the genealogy department at 925-2414 ext. 420 or emailing

Also, don’t forget that it’s Read a Romance Month! The month of August is dedicated to reading romance! Everybody who reads a romance novel from Eckhart Public Library in the month of August can enter in a drawing to win an Eckhart Public Library romance prize pack. We will also have several romance-related events, and a weekly Romance Cover Caption Contest on Facebook. Click here to read more about Read a Romance Month!

About Jenny

I am the Associate Director of Eckhart Public Library. My office is in the Administrative Annex, but I can often be found roaming the Eckhart Public Library Campus, performing acts of librarianship in every department! I love to read and learn about history. I'm also a huge fan of movies, TV and pop culture in general, and I love to read books of all types. Currently, I'm working my way around the romance section, with some historical fiction and graphic novels thrown in for variety! But you never know what I'm going to pick up next.
