Get Ready for Family History Boot Camp! – Canceled!

Please note: Family History Boot Camp has been canceled! However, please keep an eye on Charlie Chat and on the Willennar Genealogy Center’s Facebook Page for information about more genealogy & family history classes coming soon!

Are you in the middle of piecing together your family’s history? Excited about starting your genealogy, but unsure of where to look or what resources to use?

Join us at Willennar Genealogy Center for Family History Boot Camp! We’ll be meeting at 5:00 pm every Wednesday from August 12th through September 2nd, and whether you’ve been to our other Boot Camps or you’re just beginning your research, we’ll have ideas to help you get unstuck—or just get started.

This four-week program will cover a variety of helpful resources, from exploring state archives, libraries, and historical centers, to gathering information from cemeteries, church records, and other community sources.

We’ll also spend time unpacking the basics of doing research online, from searching relevant websites to printing or saving your information on a flash drive for later.

Want to register? Please call us at 925-2414 ext. 420, or send us an email at genealogy@epl.lib.in.us.

About Katy

Some of the books I've recently come to love include Signal To Noise by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, The Just City by Jo Walton, Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead, and Bug In A Vacuum by Melanie Watt. I'm a firm believer in the power of the Oxford comma.
