We’re in the throes of winter, but that doesn’t mean that things slow down at Eckhart Public Library! Participate in our Eckhart Winter Read and Eckhart Winter Research. Also, don’t forget that we are closed Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Eckhart Public Library campus will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday, January 20.

- Turn a Page With Anni: The book club will discuss “Whistling Past the Graveyard” by Susan Crandall. Wednesday, January 21, from noon to 1 p.m., JHG Room.
- ATLAS – Winter Games: Bring your game face and a friend and see if you can be the winner of the Eckhart Public Library 2015 Winter Games. For children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Thursday, January 22, 3-3:45 p.m., Children’s Department.
- Taste & Talk – Soups: Winter is the perfect time to enjoy a cup of soup and good company. Bring your favorite soup to share and enjoy sampling other soups. Registration is free by calling 260-925-2414 ext. 120 or emailing email@example.com; just bring your recipe to share. - Literary “Doctor Who”: Join us for the second episode in our three-part series of “Doctor Who” episodes featuring authors. We will be watching “The Shakespeare Code,” which features William Shakespeare, then briefly discuss the episode and how it relates to the author being portrayed.
